Sony has officially launched its most high-end and expensive full-frame mirrorless camera in the Philippines with its official SRP at P240k pesos. The Sony a9 is a step up from another high-end mirrorless camera of the company which is the Sony A7RII.
In terms of capabilities, the Sony a9 touts its 693-AF points and 20fps blackout-free burst mode beating the top dog of DSLRs, the Canon 1DX Mark II, which can shoot up to 14fps. This is possible, thanks to the new stacked 24.2MP CMOS full-frame sensor and dedicated RAM along it. The Sony a9 and its features are ideal for photography enthusiasts looking to capture high-speed actions like in sports.
Meanwhile, it does record up to 4k video and 1080p @120fps. It is also the first to bring a dual SD card slot and LAN port for faster image transfer among the Sony camera lineup.
You can already pre-order the Sony a9 for P239,999 official price with the body only starting today while the official release on the market is on July 1.
