Sony Philippines launched its newest fitness gear, the Sony Smart B-Trainer — all-in-one training gear and music player. For a price of P12,999 you’ll get the most advanced sports gear with 11 types of running logs from Sony while enjoying your music everywhere during your training days.
The Smart B-Trainer has six dedicated sensors built inside to give accurate logging of your exercise. The heart rate monitor detects your heart beat and automatically plays the right song with the right tempo to match and easily achieve your training goals. Other sensors include GPS, accelerometer, compass, barometer and gyroscope.
Aside from those sensors, there is also a dedicated mic for audio recording or voice memo function, Bluetooth for answering calls and NFC for wireless pairing to your phone.
Main form factor of the Smart B-Trainer is an adjustable neckband. It comes with non-slip materials and the overall gear itself is light (43g) and waterproof with IPX5/IPX8 rating.
The built-in 16GB storage could store up to 3,900 songs (no FLAC format support) with an approximate battery life of 13.5 hours with GPS and Bluetooth off while up to 3.5h with said sensors on.
For under P12,000 you will get the smartest fitness gear and a music player in one. It is a bit pricey but surely this gear is targeted for athletes and fitness enthusiasts.
