Buyers of the iPhone 15 Pro and its larger Pro Max variant have taken to online forums, including Apple’s customer support pages, Reddit, and other social platforms, to voice concerns that their devices are becoming uncomfortably hot to the touch. A significant number, over 2,000 people, shared their overheating experiences on Apple’s community forum.

On the flip side, some iPhone 15 buyers denied facing this problem. Certain commenters attributed this discrepancy to the usage of subpar charging cables, excessive use of video or gaming apps, or a temporary increase in processing power during the initial setup of a new device.

Apple, when approached for comment, chose not to respond directly to these reports. However, their customer support pages acknowledged that iPhones “might get warm” during initial setup, wireless charging, or while running graphics or processor-intensive applications.

Analysts on Wall Street have noted a potential decline in demand for Apple’s premium iPhones compared to the previous year, drawing conclusions from assessments of device availability at retail outlets and customer shipment wait times.

However, the basic iPhone 15 models appear to be outperforming their predecessors, indicating that consumers might be opting for more affordable alternatives during a period of financial strain attributed to inflation.
