Oppo has quietly put out a new pair of earphones with a neckband style in China. This pair, which is officially called Oppo Enco M33, is the follow-up to last year’s Oppo Enco M32.
Let’s look at what the Oppo Enco M33 wireless earphones with a neckband look like and what they can do.
The OnePlus Bullets Wireless Z2 looks more like the Oppo Enco M33. So, it doesn’t have ear tips with wings like the Enco M32.
The 12.4 mm drivers inside the buds are said to make Hi-Fi sound. But the earphones aren’t approved for Hi-Res Audio and don’t work with codecs like LDAC.
Anyway, the drivers are bigger than the 10mm ones that were in the model before it. Also, the latest model is the first in the series to handle up to 45dB ANC (Active Noise Cancellation).
The product also has ENC (Environmental Noise Cancellation) for calls that is driven by AI. It has a splash-proof rating of IP55, so you can use it while working out or even in light rain.
The earphones link through Bluetooth 5.2 and can be used right away with devices that run ColorOS, such as Realme UI and OxygenOS. The earbuds have magnets that let you pause and play music and answer calls fast.
There is a remote control built into the cable that lets you control the music and turn it on/pair it. The item comes with a USB Type-A to Type-C cord and three different-sized ear tips.
On a full charge, the Oppo Enco M33 should last for 28 hours with ANC turned off and the noise at 50%. If you turn on active noise cancellation, the battery will only last 20 hours.
Last but not least, Oppo says that a 10-minute charge will give you up to 20 hours of battery life (with ANC turned off and noise at 50%).
In China, the Oppo Enco M33 costs ¥249 (about PHP2,000). It comes in two colors, Obsidian Black and Cangling Green.
In China, you can pre-order the goods right now. Like its predecessor, it should make its way to other countries in the next few days.
