MediaTek has officially unveiled the latest Dimensity 9200+ chipset for flagship 5G smartphones. The new chipset offers improved performance and maintains power efficiency, leading to longer battery life and better gaming experiences.
It features a combination of one ultra-core Arm Cortex-X3 (3.35GHz), three Arm Cortex-A715 (3.0GHz) super-cores, and four Arm Cortex-A510 (2.0GHz) efficiency cores, supporting higher clock speeds than its predecessor. It is paired with an Arm Immortalis G715 GPU.
The chipset also has a 4CC-CA 5G Release-16 modem, WiFi 7, and Bluetooth 5.3. Other features include HyperEngine 6.0, Second generation TSMC 4nm-class process, Sixth generation AI Processing Unit (APU 690), MediaTek Imagiq 890, MediaTek MiraVision 890, and MediaTek 5G UltraSave 3.0.
Smartphones powered by the Dimensity 9200+ chipset are expected to launch in May 2023.
