DOTr secretary Jaime J. Bautista stated that the newly constructed busway stations would greatly help the commuters as this will lessen their long walks. DOTr also pledged to continuously develop ideas to provide accessible, affordable, convenient, and safe travel.

Fifteen median bus stops have been built along the EDSA Busway, and stops located inside lanes, plus three more in the outer streets. In contrast to exterior lane bus stops, the median holidays are more “convenient” in terms of placement, according to Bautista.

DOTr, MMDA, and DPWH are all involved in the EDSA Busway project. The median island incorporates a dedicated bus lane with bus stations, allowing for more effective travel by avoiding conflict with connecting streets, driveways, commercial centers, and curbside drops.

There is also the benefit of reducing travel time from Mall of Asia in Pasay City to Monumento in Caloocan from 2 to 3 hours down to only 1 hour 30 minutes due to the EDSA Busway.
