Second Update for Nothing Phone (1) Adds July Security Patch

Nothing launched its first smartphone called Nothing Phone (1) last week. The first update for the device was released on July 20, 2022, addressing some shortcomings. Now, another update that comes with more optimizations and improvements has been released by the company for the device. Let’s look at it!

Added Features

  • An experimental Tesla control feature
  • The Experimental NFT Gallery 
  • Beta Launcher now includes an optional Search Bar on the home screen (from feedback)

Enhanced Camera Capabilities

  • Glyph fills light now available in Portrait Mode.
  • Clarity and noise have been improved when taking photos in low-light conditions.
  • Enhanced dynamic range for low-light photography.
  • Ultra-wide camera improved photo clarity.
  • Consistent color across primary and ultra-wide sensors.

Performance Improvements & Bug Fixes

  • Added July 2022 security patch to Android.
  • Resolved Lock screen Fingerprint Issue
  • Glyph Interface reliability has been improved.
  • Optimization of battery life while on standby.
  • The performance of Face Unlock has been improved.
  • Fixes for general bugs.

OTA updates are also coming via badges for the 1.1.0 update. By heading to Settings > System > System updates, you can look for updates if you didn’t receive an OTA notice.
