Samsung’s newest Exynos chip with RDNA 2 GPU to be unveiled on January 11, 2022

In a tweet, Samsung has teased its upcoming flagship SoC – said to be called Exynos 2200. It will go official on January 11, 2022.

According to the company, they will release the new Exynos chip with the new GPU born from RDNA 2. The new RDNA 2 based GPU is also used in the next-gen graphics on the Xbox Series X, PlayStation5, and AMD’s RX 6000-series graphics cards. It will also support ray tracing tech, a method of graphics rendering that simulates the physical behavior of light for better overall rendered images.

The new Exynos chip is also rumored to be more powerful than the SD888. It is also expected to power some of Samsung’s most powerful smartphones this 2022, including the Samsung Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S22 Ultra.
