According to Mynt, parent company of GCash, MRT-3 passengers can now avail the 50% fare discount through the GCash app.
The 50% off discounted fares apply to single-journey tickets, stored-value cards, and cashless payments.
Passengers can also use the GCash app to avail of the discount. Payment options include QR codes, NFC-enabled smartphones, and the GCash Visa card.
Cashless payments through GCash have been available in MRT-3 stations since July last year, offering an alternative to traditional ticket purchases.
The discount is generally available to MRT-3 passengers, as long as they are using the covered payment methods and buying eligible fares under the program.
Keep in mind that the 50% fare discount for passengers of MRT-3 officially started since March 23, 2026.
