Alongside the MacBook Air 2022, Apple also unveiled the new MacBook Pro 13-inch during its WWDC event. The laptop remains unchanged beyond the new chipset with its thick bezel display and Apple’s keyboard with Touch Bar.
The MacBook Pro 2022 sports a 13.3-inch Retina display with True Tone technology and 500 nits brightness.
Inside, it comes with the latest Apple M2 chip, which boasts an 8-core CPU coupled with a 10-core GPU, a 16-code Neural Engine, up to 24GB of memory, and partnered with an SSD storage of up to 2TB. The battery is rated for up to 20 hours of video playback.
With support for ProRes encode and decode in the media engine of M2, users can play back up to 11 streams of 4K and up to two streams of 8K ProRes video. And they can convert their video projects to ProRes nearly 3x faster than before.
Other features include Spatial Audio Dolby Atmos on built-in speakers, a Touch bar in the Magic Keyboard, WiFi 6, 720p FaceTime HD camera, and the 67W USB-C Power Adapter. Ports include Two Thunderbolt, a USB 4, and Thunderbolt Charging port.
