TP-Link has launched two new Wi-Fi 7 routers in China, the TL-7DR7270 and TL-7DR7290. Both support the latest Wi-Fi 7 standard with speeds of up to 7.14 Gbps.
Let’s start with the higher-end TL-7DR7290 built for larger homes and gaming setups.
It offers four 2.5G ports and four Gigabit ports with link aggregation, dual WAN, and IPTV mode support.
It also has ten external FEMs, 1GB DDR4 RAM, and can connect up to 512 devices per frequency band, covering up to 200 square meters.
On the other hand, the TL-7DR7270 is aimed at home and small office users.
It comes with two 2.5G Ethernet ports and four Gigabit LAN ports, and supports features like 4K QAM, MRU (Multi-Resource Unit), MLO (Multi-Link Operation), and Preamble Puncture.
It utilizes TP-Link’s AI-based Pixel Antenna design for enhanced signal coverage, featuring five external and five internal FEMs that cover up to 150 square meters.
Both models support TP-Link EasyMesh for seamless network expansion and one-touch IoT pairing for smart devices.
They also include four gaming accelerators, Thunder Gaming, Youbangbang, Qiyou, and NetEase UU, and parental controls for managing internet use.
For business and remote work, both routers support VPN protocols (IPSec, PPTP, L2TP), SD-WAN, and PPPoE server functions.
The TP-Link TL-7DR7270 is priced at CNY 399 (approx. PHP 3,199), while the higher-end TL-7DR7290 costs CNY 599 (approx. PHP 4,799). Both routers are now available in the Chinese market.
