Earlier today, March 9th of 2023, Lenovo released a new AC adaptor for a Legion gaming laptop. For the 2023 Legion Y900P gameplay laptop, a new power converter, model number C140 Power Adapter, was explicitly designed.

The new power adaptor is an alternative to the one included with every Y9000P from the Chinese Computer manufacturer. The C140 variant is smaller and easier to carry around than the standard converter, making it ideal for frequent fliers and mobile professionals/gamers. The new GaN converter delivers as much power as its moniker suggests: 140W through a single USB Type C connector.
Though small, this is a significant improvement over its forebears, increasing charging power by 35 percent from 135W. As a bonus, the new C140 power converter is available in either white or black. The company’s formal notes state that Lenovo’s new Legion Y9000P 2023 gaming laptops can receive a 140W charge from a rapid, portable charger.
It allows it to accomplish 92% of the native frame rate of the game, which was impossible with the previous adaptor. Those unfamiliar with Legion laptops may need to realize how much juice their powerful parts consume. Since the maximum power consumption of the Legion Y9000P 2023 gaming laptop is 250W, the highest-end variant comes with a 330W GaN power supply.
