Tecno will unveil a novel smartphone at MWC Barcelona 2023. Phantom V Fold is the brand’s first folding smartphone. Tecno has announced that its future folding phone will have a flagship screen created in cooperation with TCL CSOT in a joint laboratory.
In July 2022, Tecno and TCL CSOT opened a lab. Both firms value R&D, so the lab aims to innovate and suit customer wants. This partnership produced a flagship display that promises a great visual experience in folded and unfurled large-screen setups.

Tecno claims the Phantom V Fold has a 120Hz LTPO dual screen. It will also fold “ultra-flat” and have a “virtually crease-free surface to provide realistic and amazing large-screen images.”
Tecno also announced that the Phantom V Fold’s successor would have a more prominent display. Tecno’s Pattern 2.0 crease optimization technology will minimize display creases on the next-generation folding, due out in 2024.
TCL CSOT’s PLP technology will enhance the phone’s 20% smaller screen coating.
Tecno and TCL CSOT are developing another exciting large-screen gadget. This rollable smartphone will have a flexible screen, and the device will have a motor to roll out the screen and make it big without folding. The screen will be flat and crease-free.
