Technical Issues Detected in Viber’s Video and File Transfers

The Cybercrime Investigation and Coordination Center (CICC) said that it has found technical troubles on Viber.

In a statement released by the Presidential Communications Office (PCO), the CICC said it found “continuous failed attempts to send video and file transfers using the Viber system in multiple cities covered by the CAMS [Consumer Application Monitoring Systems] platform both domestically and internationally since 10 a.m. [on Tuesday] while Messaging and voice calls have been successful though the Viber platform.”

The CICC says that the CAMS platform is used to find out how well applications work, including Viber.

After using it to check on problems with the Viber app, CICC Executive Director Alexander Ramos said that the CICC’s use of the CAMS platform is useful.

At the moment, Viber users might encounter problems adding photos to the platform.
