Sony has announced the pricing and availability in the Philippines of its new Bluetooth speaker, the Sony SRS-XB33 EXTRA BASS Portable Wireless Speaker.
The speaker incorporates a rugged design, has an IP67 rating for waterproof, and is also dustproof and shockproof. The brand claims that it is totally washable and can even withstand saltwater.
It also features Sony’s X-Balanced Speaker Unit which maximizes the area of the speaker diaphragm, increasing sound pressure for a more punchy bass. Additionally, it reduces driver excursion while maintaining the same sound pressure, resulting in less distortion.
The speaker also comes with a Mica Reinforced Cellular speaker cone and dust cap that contributes to the quality of sound while the side passive radiators have been optimized to produce clear bass.
The SRS-XB33 is equipped with speaker customizable lights and multicolor line light that reacts based on the beat it produces. For connectivity, the speaker supports Bluetooth 5.0 technology, NFC, a USB-C port, and a USB-A port. It is also compatible with Sony’s Music Center app which can be downloaded on Playstore and App Store.
According to the company, the Sony SRS-XB33 boasts a long battery life that can last up to 24 hours. However, it only has 14 hours of usage if the lights are turned on and in the EXTRA BASS mode. In addition, the speaker charges via a 5V 1A adaptor.
The Sony SRS-XB33 EXTRA BASS Portable Wireless Speaker comes in Red, Blue, Taupe, and Black colors. It is priced at PHP 7,999 and is now available on Sony’s official website and authorized partner stores nationwide.
