Qualcomm has updated the specs sheet of its Snapdragon lineup adding for 192 MP camera support particularly for the latest chips like the Snapdragon 855 and 710 up to the 845 and 670/675.
Users from XDA Developers assume that these means single sensor support for 192MP and not accounting the selfie camera. Or this means that a total of 192 MP or less from a combination of several sensors (front and back) of a smartphone.
Another thing is that this clears the previous limit that the Snapdragon 845 and 855 hold of the 48MP camera sensor.
Nonetheless, manufacturers like Sony and Samsung are yet to be launching their monstrous sensor larger than 48MP in the near future. This makes Qualcomm chipsets ready before these whopping cameras come into your smartphone.
