Samsung has launched its latest System-on-Chip called the Exynos 1280, a mobile processor for mid-range smartphones.
The Samsung Exynos 1280 is an octa-core processor built on 5nm EUV technology packing two powerful Arm Cortex-A78 cores and six power-efficient Cortex-A55. It is paired with the Mali-G68 GPU and a 4.3 TOPS AI Engine with NPU.
The GPU has been optimized with Fused Multiply-Add (FMA) which offers better power consumption and battery life. there’s also an advanced neural network engine that can support a wide range of intelligent services like scene segmentation, real-time motion analysis, multi-object surveillance, and more.
Moreover, the Exynos 1280 can support up to a single 108MP sensor or 3x 16MP sensor, FHD+ 120Hz screens, LPDDR4X RAM, UFS 2.2 storage, Bluetooth 5.2, FM Radio Rx, quad-constellation multi-signal for L1 and L5 GNSS. For connectivity, it is equipped with dual-band WiFi and 5G NR Sub-6GHz + 5G NR mmWave 1.
