Samsung looks to get in a different path on the camera department for their upcoming S7 flagship with the sudden shift from focusing on daylight shooting to low light shooting performance through this possible upcoming sensor.

We previously got news of the S7’s upcoming three chip variants, and now theres more, the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S7 is expected to pack a low 12MP rear shooter, but with a twist. The latter will have a decently huge phone by camera size of 1/2″, which is expected to greatly increase the shooting capability of the sensor in low light, which is quite a shift from the usually Galaxy S-series sensor. Before the said 12MP rear shooter, the S7 was previously leaked to have a similar 23MP rear shooter, used in the Xperia Z5 series, which was good, but we would rather see something new than a Z5-like sensor from Samsung.
