Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime is now official and almost features the same specs as the faster Hong Kong and China version of Galaxy J7 2016.
In terms of specs, the Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime sports 5.5-inch Full HD 1080p Super AMOLED display, an octa-core Exynos processor clocked at 1.6GHz, 3GB RAM, and 32GB expandable storage with support up to 128GB microSD card. It seems the specs sheet is almost the same as the Galaxy J7 2016 with 3GB RAM (only available via online stores in the Philippines).
The camera of the Galaxy J7 Prime is 13MP f1.9 snapper paired with an 8MP selfie camera. Again, the same camera setup as to the Galaxy J and A series this year. Meanwhile the battery tips at 3300mAh but is non-removable due to the metal design.
The Galaxy J7 Prime will be available starting this month in select countries like India. No words yet if Samsung Philippines will launch it here locally since both the Galaxy C5 and Galaxy C7 will be releasing here too this year.
For the price, the official SRP in India is roughly $285 or about P13k pesos in the Philippines. Of course, the price will vary due to variation in taxes.

Sorry manila shaker. Get your facts straight, please. Screen is 5.5″ FHD TFT/IPS LCD display not super amoled. Meaning ang screen nya ai mas mahina compared sa j7 2016 which already has the super amoled display. Ang screen ng prime is low class compared sa other J devices ng samsung

The J7 prime has a TFT technology to be exact. TFT (Thin Film Transistor) displays is barely different from IPS (In-Plane Switching) displays…

Just curious on its feature about data saving (internet). If you’re going to use it, will it not also compromise the quality of the surfing experience? (mostly I watch youtube and this is where i found about your site 🙂
Jade Jardinico says:
Not likely. It will still depend on the speed and reliability of your internet.
