Rolls-Royce officially confirmed its plan to engage in the crossover segment.
In an open letter on February 18, Rolls-Royce Chairman Peter Schwarzenbauer and Rolls-Royce CEO Torsten Mueller-Oetvoes confirmed that their company is working on a car model with “exceptional presence, elegance and purpose.”
Though they refused to call it a crossover or an SUV instead they defined it as high-bodied car with an all-new aluminum architecture, and went on saying that this model is so impeccable that it is worthy of carrying the Spirit of Ecstasy into the future.
No details on the launching of this car was rolled out yet, but as promised, “This new Rolls-Royce will be effortless everywhere.”
