REDMAGIC has officially launched the Astra 2 gaming tablet globally.

The REDMAGIC Astra 2 sports a 9.06-inch LTPO OLED panel with up to 185Hz refresh rate, a 2.4K (2400 × 1504) resolution, and Synaptics S3930T Touch Chip for precise inputs. Its display also supports 300Hz global touch sampling rate, up to 2,000Hz instantaneous touch response, 1,600 nits peak brightness, and SGS hardware-level low blue light protection certification.
Under the hood, it is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset with Adreno 840 GPU, with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB of UFS 4.1 storage. The main chip is paired with a dedicated RedCore R4 gaming processor for graphics, handling frame rate stability and upscaling.
Thermals are handled by a 12-layer REDMAGIC AquaCore Cooling System 2.0 consisting of three core elements: flowing liquid cooling, liquid metal 3.0, and a large vapor chamber.
The gaming tablet packs a 8,300mAh battery capacity with 75W wired charging and bypass charging support. It comes with dual USB-C ports: 1x USB 3.2 Gen 2 port that supports DisplayPort and 1x USB 2.0 port.
Camera-wise, it is equipped with a 13MP rear camera and a 9MP selfie sensor.
The tablet ships with REDMAGIC OS 11.5 based on Android 16.
Other features include DTS:X Ultra 3D stereo, dual 1227 speakers featuring N’Bass acoustic enhancement, dual 0815 X-axis linear motors with 4D haptic feedback, Bluetooth 6.0, and 4K@144FPS or 8K@60FPS wired video support. Available color options are Starfrost and Eclipse.

The REDMAGIC Astra 2 gaming tablet is now available in select global markets and is priced at USD 749 (~PHP 46,171.77) for the 12GB + 256GB model and USD 849 (~PHP 52,336.23) for the 16GB + 512GB variant.
