realme GT 7T First Impressions

realme GT 7T

It’s been a few days since the realme GT 7T was teased for a Philippine launch.

For a quick recap, around this time last year, we also got our hands on the realme GT 6, and now, once again, we have early access on the newest addition to the GT series ahead of its official launch!

As the title suggests, here are our initial thoughts on the upcoming realme GT 7T!

Design

Unlike the two-toned design of the GT 6, the realme GT 7T offers a minimalist, plain back panel. It is available in two colorways, IceSense Blue and IceSense Black, and what we have here is the former.

What we noticed is that the back panel has a smooth, matte finish that feels comfortable in the hand and fingerprints resistant.

Also according to realme, this device features the industry’s first integration of graphene into a smartphone design using fiberglass.

Display

Moving on, the realme GT 7T has a flat 6.78-inch display, just like the GT 6, but without the curved edges. What caught our attention is its good screen-to-body ratio and fairly thin bezels, making the screen look more spacious.

There’s also a centrally placed punch-hole front camera at the top, which we will talk more about later.

Chipset and Storage

Now, for the part everyone’s been waiting for, what powers the realme GT 7T? It runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 8400-MAX processor. Storage-wise, it comes with 12GB LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB UFS 4.0 internal storage.

If you want to know more about its performance and benchmark results, make sure to watch out for our review coming soon!

Camera and Sample Shots

Moving to the camera department, it features a triple camera setup, a 50MP Sony IMX906 OIS main camera, a 50MP 2x Samsung S5KJN5 telephoto camera, and an 8MP OV08D10 wide-angle camera. To give you a quick idea of how the rear cameras perform, here are a few sample shots.

For the front camera, it comes with a 32MP Sony IMX615 sensor. Below are some sample shots we took as well.

Again, if you want to know more about how the camera fully performs and its video recording capabilities, stay tuned for our full review.

Battery

Lastly, the battery. The realme GT 7T offers a whopping 7000mAh battery, which is pretty good for a gaming-centered device. However, we’ll keep the charging and video loop test results under wraps for now.

So far, we’re looking forward to seeing how it performs, especially in gaming.

That’s it for our first look at the realme GT 7T. Stay tuned for the full review, where we’ll find out everything this device has to offer.

Also, make sure to remember the official launch of the realme GT 7T on May 27, 2025!
