It hasn’t been that long since Realme 5i launched in the Philippines. Replacing the base model of Realme 5, the model doubled the storage and switches the design to textured backing for better grip and fewer fingerprint smudges. And while we did crown the device as the best budget phone in early 2020, it’s still a cheap phone using a micro USB port and 10W standard charging. Expect things to change, however, when Realme 6i launches soon. According to published FCC documents, Realme 6i is sporting USB-C port already with support for 18W fast charging.
The shared photos show that Realme 6i in white color. It still has the same grippy design along with the fingerprint scanner and quad-cameras. But instead of a 12MP main sensor, there’s a 48MP sensor already. Another photo confirms the use of USB-C port flanked by a headphone jack and speaker grille. The info regarding 18W fast charging can be seen from the power brick with 9V/2A output. Realme 5i came out like just a month ago, so it safe to assume that Realme 6i won’t be launching very soon.
