Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake has been delayed, again

Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time remake has been pushed again to a later date however, a date was not revealed by the developers.

In a statement given by Ubisoft on Twitter, they explain that “we have made the decision to shift the release for Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake to a later date. This extra development time will enable our teams to deliver a remake that feels fresh while remaining faithful to the original.”

The original release date for the remake was last January however due to COVID-19 restraints and the difficulty everyone had in working from home, it was tough for the developers to keep up on schedule.

It was announced last year in the first Ubisoft Forward that they are making a remake of the Sands of Time and would be using the Assassin’s Creed Anvil engine game. Also, it would be marking the return of actor Yuri Lowenthal as the Prince.

As of now, there are no definite dates on when the game would be released. But if it would be launched, Prince of Persia: Sands of Time will be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Epic Games Store, Ubisoft Store, and Uplay+. There is still no news if the game will be available for next-gen consoles but it would be playable via backward compatibility.
