Procter & Gamble Philippines (P&G) has announced that its manufacturing plant in Cabuyao City, Laguna will be one of the P&G sites globally that will produce face masks to help reduce the spread of COVID-19. After donating P100M worth of assistance to its business partners, the company behind the most used home care products wants to supply the depleting resource of face masks.
“P&G will invest in additional equipment for the plant to manufacture face masks for donation which will be routed through the Department of Health and used to help protect our employees as they work to produce critically important cleaning, health and hygiene products for the nation,” said P&G Philippines President and General Manager Raffy Fajardo.
As of April 7, around 3700 people have been confirmed with COVID-19. 84 have recovered with 177 casualties already. The numbers are expected to peak between May and July.
