Two new Oppo phones, the Oppo R9 and Oppo R9 Plus, aimed at top-end mid-range like Galaxy A9, went official in China.
While sharing some few specs and design features, the Oppo R9 Plus retain a faster, better hardware for a more expensive price.
The Oppo R9 sports a 5.5-inches 1080p AMOLED screen and thinner profile. Under the hood is an Helio P10 octa-core chipset paired with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. The back shooter is a 13MP sensor capable of Full HD video.

On the other hand, the Oppo R9 Plus is a more capable and bigger. The panel is a 6-inch 1080p AMOLED and is powered by a Snapdragon 652 octa-core chipset similar to Samsung Galaxy A9. The RAM and storage are kept at 4GB and 64GB, respectively. The main shooter is 16MP with 4K video support.

Running on Android 5.1 Lollipop, the two Oppo R9s are already up for sale in China. And soon to be released in the Philippines. Expected retail price is $430 / P19,990 pesos for Oppo R9 and P23,990 pesos for R9 Plus. These are not the verified official SRPs however.
