OPPO has announced a new addition to its A-series in China: the base OPPO A5, the successor to last year’s OPPO A3.
The OPPO A5 boasts a triple IP rating of IP66/68/69 for dust and water resistance. It also incorporates a 360-degree drop resistance for enhanced durability.
For specs, it sports a 6.7-inch FHD+ AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 1200 nits peak brightness. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 octa-core processor with Adreno GPU, up to 12GB LPDDR4X RAM, up to 512GB UFS 3.1 storage, and a large 6500mAh battery capacity with 45W SUPERVOOC fast charging.
Camera-wise, the OPPO A5 is equipped with a 50MP main sensor and a 2MP monochrome lens. Upfront is an 8MP selfie camera.
The OPPO A5 is currently available for pre-order in China and will go on sale on March 21. It is listed on OPPO’s website in China.
There’s no word yet for local availability, so stay tuned for more updates.
