Netflix wants you to eliminate people using your account without your permission. To help you do this, the company has made a new feature called Profile Transfer. The new feature, announced a few days ago, is now available in the Philippines. Starting today, users can move their full profiles to their own paid account, including recommendations, viewing history, my list, settings, saved games, and more. Netflix Introduces Profile Transfer
Why the new thing? Well, Netflix’s press release says, “People move. Families grow. Relationships change.” To be fair to the streaming service, it sounds like a good idea to be able to Netflix and move your profile to your account. This is the step you need to take if you just broke up with someone but still want to keep all your recommendations and viewing history (and don’t want to start over). Same thing if you don’t want to share your account with your parents anymore. You’re good to go by turning your profile into a new account.

Netflix wants more people to start paying for their accounts since the company is looking for more ways to make money. The company just released a cheaper, ad-supported tier and plans to start charging more users by the beginning of next year. Other streaming platforms are already giving it tougher competition in Southeast Asia, especially in the Philippines.
Also, the entertainment giant Disney+ announced they would be coming to the Philippines on November 17, 2022.
