Apple is preparing to roll out a major software redesign called “Liquid Glass”, set to debut with iOS 26 at Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) 2025.
As the name suggests, this update will bring a more glossy and translucent look, similar to glass.
According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, the design change will appear in iOS 26, iPadOS 26, macOS 26, watchOS 26, tvOS 26, visionOS 26, and CarPlay.
This redesign not only updates the user interface but also sets the stage for upcoming hardware, including the rumored 20th-anniversary iPhone, internally known as “Glasswing.”
Scheduled for a 2027 release, this future iPhone is said to feature curved glass sides and ultra-thin bezels, complementing the new software look.

In the European Union, Siri will be replaced by a new voice assistant in response to regional regulations.

The public beta for iOS 26 is expected this summer, with the full release arriving alongside the next iPhone lineup later this year.
Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) 2025 will take place from June 9 to June 13, 2025.
Meanwhile, the keynote will happen on Monday, June 9 at 10 AM PT, that’s Tuesday, June 10 at 1 AM (GMT+8) for viewers in the Philippines.
