HUAWEI FreeClip 2 has been introduced in the local market.
According to HUAWEI, the earbuds feature an Airy C-bridge Design which is made of skin-friendly liquid silicone and a shape-memory alloy, and is 25% softer compared to the previous generation.
The earbuds use a 10.8 mm dual-diaphragm driver with a frequency response range of 20Hz to 20kHz.
Audio features include call noise cancellation, adaptive volume, and multiple EQ sound effects, including a custom sound option.
The earbuds each pack a 60mAh battery, while the charging case has a 537mAh capacity. For music playback, it is rated for up to 9 hours on a single charge and up to 38 hours with the charging case. For voice calls, it supports up to 6 hours on a single charge and up to 25 hours with the case.
Wired charging is done via USB Type-C at 5V 1.5A. Charging the case alone takes about 50 minutes, while charging both earbuds and the case together takes around 60 minutes.
The case can also recharge the earbuds in about 40 minutes. Wireless charging is supported at up to 3W and takes about 150 minutes to fully charge the case.
Connectivity-wise, the HUAWEI FreeClip 2 supports Bluetooth 6.0 and allows simultaneous connection to two devices.
Pop-up pairing is also available on compatible HUAWEI devices running EMUI 10.0 or later.
For controls, users can double-tap to play or pause audio and answer or end calls, triple-tap to skip tracks, and swipe up or down to adjust volume. Gestures can be customized through the HUAWEI Audio Connect app.
In terms of durability, the earbuds are rated IP57 for dust and water resistance, while the charging case is rated IP54.
The HUAWEI FreeClip 2 is priced at PHP9,999 SRP and is available in Blue, Rose Gold, White, and Black colorways. It is now listed on HUAWEI’s official website in the Philippines.
