MediaTek has introduced the Helio G100 chipset. Building on the Helio G99, the Helio G100 offers enhanced camera capabilities and improved connectivity.
The Helio G100 is powered by an octa-core CPU, which includes two powerful 2.2 GHz Cortex-A76 cores and six efficient 2.0 GHz Cortex-A55 cores. It supports LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.2 storage, with a maximum display resolution of 2,520 x 1,080 pixels, just like the Helio G99.
One major improvement is its ability to support 200 MP main cameras, making it a great choice for phones with high-resolution photography needs. It can also handle dual camera setups of 16 + 16 MP and can record 32 MP videos at 30 frames per second.
The Helio G100 introduces a new feature called “Elevator Mode.” This helps phones quickly reconnect to the network after coming out of areas with no signal, like tunnels or elevators. This feature is useful for people who often move in and out of places with poor coverage.
The chipset also supports dual 4G SIM cards with VoLTE (Voice over LTE) and ViLTE (Video over LTE), which improves the quality of voice and video calls over LTE networks.

The MediaTek Helio G100 keeps the cost-effective approach of the Helio G99 while offering better features. MediaTek has started supplying this chipset to manufacturers, and we can expect to see new smartphones with the Helio G100 soon.
