Ahead of its launch, REDMI has confirmed key details of the REDMI Turbo 5 and Turbo 5 Max.
The phone features a 6.83-inch LTPS OLED display with 1.5K resolution and up to 3,500 nits peak brightness. It also supports 3,840Hz PWM dimming and uses an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor.
Powering the device is the latest MediaTek Dimensity 9500s chipset.

According to the teasers, Turbo 5 Max is equipped with a 9,000mAh silicon-carbon battery, which is new for a smartphone. It also supports 100W wired fast charging and 27W reverse wired charging.

In terms of build, the phone uses a metal middle frame and a fiberglass rear panel. It carries both IP68 and IP69 ratings, offering protection against dust, water immersion, and high-pressure water jets.
On the other hand, the standard Turbo 5 has a smaller 6.59-inch display.
It is also powered by one of MediaTek’s new chipset the Dimensity 8500.

It comes with a 7,560mAh battery, 100W wired fast charging (with PPS support), and 27W reverse charging. The phone uses a metal frame with a 2.5D glass back.
Moreover, REDMI has also added a T1S signal enhancement chip and support for long-range, network-free communication, designed for use in areas without cellular coverage.
For now, these are all teasers. More details about the REDMI Turbo 5 Series, including pricing and availability, are expected at the official launch event on January 29, 2026.
