Google Rolls Out Username Change Feature for Accounts

Google Account username

Google has introduced a new feature that allows users to change their Google Account username.

A Google Account username is the part before “@gmail.com”. For example, in manilashaker@gmail.com, the username is manilashaker.

Even if you change your username, your old email address will still remain active, and any emails sent to the old username will still be received.

The update applies to the username used to sign in across services such as Gmail, Google Photos, and Google Drive.

According to Google, the feature started rolling out last year and is intended to give users more flexibility as their account needs change over time.

The ability to change a username is currently available to all Google Account users in the United States.

Would you like this feature to be available in the Philippines?
