WhatsApp is introducing a new feature called Writing Help to help users refine their messages more easily.
The tool suggests alternative ways to phrase a message, whether the tone is meant to be professional, casual, or supportive.
Users can access it by tapping a pencil icon while composing in individual or group chats, then choose a suggestion, edit it, or keep their own wording.
The company says the feature is private. Writing Help runs on Meta’s Private Processing technology, which generates suggestions without Meta or WhatsApp accessing message content.

It has also been reviewed by external security experts, including audits from NCC Group and Trail of Bits.
WhatsApp Writing Help is optional, off by default, and currently launching in English in the U.S. and a few other countries. More languages and regions are expected to be added later this year.
