Apple has released the first public beta of macOS 27 Golden Gate.
macOS 27 introduces a new Siri AI experience that can understand personal content from supported apps like Messages and Mail to answer questions and complete tasks.
The update also improves Spotlight Search, aiming to make search results faster and more reliable.
Apple has also refined the Liquid Glass interface and introduced a more consistent design with unified window corner shapes across the system.
Other additions include updated Apple Intelligence writing tools, improved Visual Intelligence features, AI-assisted Shortcut creation from text prompts, and improvements to iPhone Mirroring, including support for more flexible aspect ratios.

Alongside the public beta, Apple also released revised versions of macOS 27 developer beta 3 with a new build number. The company has not explained what changes were made, but the update likely includes fixes ahead of the public beta release.
To install the public beta, users need to enroll their Mac in Apple’s Beta Software Program. After enrolling, go to System Settings > General > Software Update, click the “i” button beside Beta Updates, select macOS 27 Golden Gate Public Beta.
