Nothing has officially announced Nothing OS 5.0.
The update includes a redesigned Settings interface, new lock screen styles, wallpaper-adaptive colors, updated widgets, a dedicated Glyph app, and improved Bluetooth controls.
Essential Voice and Essential Space also receive AI updates, including better transcription, Smart Collections, and support for Model Context Protocol (MCP). Essential Apps Builder is also coming directly to Nothing phones.
Nothing OS 5.0 also adds Android 17 features such as separate Notifications and Quick Settings panels, enhanced Quick Share, Live Updates, expanded Dark Theme, improved screen recording, and Noto 3D Emoji.
The Open Beta will initially be available for the Nothing Phone (3), with more eligible devices to follow.
