Instagram has launched a new feature called Instants.
Instants allow users to share temporary photos with friends directly through Instagram messages.
Instants appear in the bottom-right corner of the Instagram inbox. Users can take and send unedited photos to Close Friends or mutual followers. The photos disappear after being viewed and are no longer accessible after 24 hours.
Users can add captions before sending photos, react to received Instants, and reply through direct messages.

Instagram also added an undo option to remove a shared Instant before it is seen.
Shared Instants are automatically saved in a private archive for up to one year. Users can also create recap Stories using archived Instants.
Additionally, Instagram is also testing a separate Instants app in select countries for faster access.
Instagram Instants is now available globally inside Instagram.
