realme is set to announce the realme 14 Pro series in India next year and it will be the world’s first cold-sensitive color-changing smartphone.
The series will include the realme 14 Pro and the realme 14 Pro+ smartphones. Both will be sporting the new color-changing back panels. This is not like any other color-changing tech because the realme 14 Pro series’ covers will change color only when the temperature drops to 16°C or lower.
Its back panel uses thermochromic pigments that respond to temperature changes. The back cover shifts from pearl white to vivid blue below 16°C and back again when the temperature rises. This innovative temperature-responsive color-changing method enables the device’s look to change dynamically in response to temperature changes.
Beside the cool tech, the back panels of both smartphones will incorporate a ‘Unique Pearl Design’ and a circular camera module with an outer gold trim.
Inside the camera modules are the triple-rear camera setup and the ‘MagicGlow’ feature that includes three LED flashes which allows for adjusting brightness and color temperature.
For specs, it is expected that the series will come with Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 3, quad-curved screen, an in-display fingerprint scanner, AI features, a 50MP main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide shooter, a 50MP periscope telephoto camera with 3x zoom on the Pro+, and IP66, IP68, and IP69 certifications.
