
Microsoft has officially introduced the Surface Laptop Ultra and Surface RTX Spark Dev Box, its latest Surface devices.
The Surface Laptop Ultra features NVIDIA’s RTX Spark Superchip, with up to 20 CPU cores, 6,144 GPU cores, and 128GB of unified memory. Microsoft says it can run AI models with more than 120 billion parameters locally and deliver up to 1 petaflop of AI performance.
It has a 15-inch PixelSense Ultra touchscreen with up to 2,000 nits peak HDR brightness. The laptop is less than 18mm thick and weighs under 4.5 pounds.



Other features include a larger haptic touchpad, removable storage, HDMI, USB-A, three USB-C ports, an SD card reader, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. One of the USB-C ports also supports magnetic charging through Microsoft’s new Magnetic Connect system.
Meanwhile, the Surface RTX Spark Dev Box is a compact desktop designed for developers and AI engineers. It also uses the RTX Spark platform, with up to 128GB of unified memory and up to 1 petaflop of AI performance.


The Dev Box supports local AI models with more than 120 billion parameters and comes with tools such as Visual Studio Code, Git, GitHub CLI, GitHub Copilot, WSL, Python, and Node.
