Microsoft Rolls Out Xbox Mode for Windows 11 PCs

Xbox Mode

Microsoft has started rolling out a new “Xbox mode” feature for Windows 11 PCs.

The update, announced by Xbox executives Jason Ronald and Ian LeGrow, works across desktops, laptops, and Windows-based handheld devices.

Xbox mode provides a full-screen, controller-friendly interface designed to make gaming easier to access.

Users can browse and launch games, switch back to the regular Windows desktop, and view a combined library that includes titles from Xbox Game Pass and other PC storefronts.

The feature is built on Windows, meaning users still have access to standard PC functions while using the gaming interface.

Microsoft Xbox Mode Availability

To get the Microsoft Xbox Mode feature, users need to enable the latest updates in Windows Update. Availability will depend on the device and region and will expand gradually over the coming weeks.
