The motorcycle-based ride-hailing app, Angkas has been ordered by the LTFRB to stop its operations once again, in which the Supreme Court issued a temporary restraining order against a regional trial court’s decision to stop LTFRB from apprehending Ankas drivers.
The temporary restraining order was issued to go against Mandaluyong Regional Trial Court’s decision, and to let the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board arrest Angkas riders. In lieu of this, the Mandaluyong Trial Court’s order granted the plea of DBDOYC Inc, the operator of Angkas, for a writ of preliminary injunction.
