MotionVFX has announced through their website that they are joining Apple.
MotionVFX is a software company that makes plugins, templates, and visual effects tools for video editors.
The company is known for its products for Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, and Apple Motion.
MotionVFX’s plugins are widely used by YouTubers, filmmakers, and broadcast editors. Popular tools include mFilmLook for cinematic color grading and mO2, which allows 3D models to be used directly in Final Cut Pro and Apple Motion.
The company also offers Design Studio, a panel that lets users browse and install effects within Final Cut Pro.
With this acquisition, MotionVFX’s 70 employees are joining Apple.
On the other hand, MotionVFX has not yet confirmed whether its existing products will continue to be sold independently.
