ICYMI: Xiaomi 15T Series Launched in PH

Xiaomi has introduced its new flagship smartphones, the Xiaomi 15T and Xiaomi 15T Pro, in the Philippines.

The launch took place at the Maybank Theatre in BGC, Taguig, marking the local debut of the company’s latest T Series lineup.

Imaging

Both devices continue Xiaomi’s collaboration with Leica, featuring triple-camera systems. The 15T is equipped with a main, ultra-wide, and telephoto camera, while the 15T Pro adds a Leica 5x Pro telephoto lens.

The main cameras use Leica Summilux lenses, with the Pro model carrying the new Light Fusion 900 sensor for improved dynamic range. A 32MP front camera is included on both models.

Video capabilities include 4K HDR10+ recording, with the Pro supporting 4K 120fps and 10-bit Log recording.

Connectivity and Software

The series debuts Xiaomi Astral Communication, which enables device-to-device voice calls without mobile or Wi-Fi signal, working at distances up to 1.9km on the Pro and 1.3km on the 15T.

Both devices also ship with HyperOS 3, Xiaomi’s updated operating system featuring a redesigned interface and AI-powered multitasking.

Display

The 15T Series features a 6.83-inch display with 1.5K resolution and up to 3200 nits brightness.

• The 15T Pro offers a 144Hz refresh rate with ultra-thin bezels.
• The 15T comes with a 120Hz refresh rate and 3840Hz PWM dimming for reduced flicker.

Performance and Battery

Both models are powered by a 5,500mAh battery. The Pro supports 90W wired and 50W wireless charging, while the 15T supports 67W wired charging.

The MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ powers the 15T Pro, while the 15T runs on the Dimensity 8400-Ultra. A new 3D IceLoop cooling system is used for thermal management.

Design and Durability

The series features a glass fiber back, flat frame, and IP68 water and dust resistance. The Pro uses an aluminum alloy frame. Color options include Black, Gray, and Mocha Gold for the 15T Pro, and Black, Gray, and Rose Gold for the 15T.
