Remember the Titan Security Key back in 2018 to prevent phishing attacks? Well now, they’ve expanded their support to passkeys, a more secure and straightforward way to access Google Accounts without passwords, utilizing FIDO2 credentials and cryptography.

At the recent Aspen Cyber Summit in New York City, Google unveiled two new Titan Security Keys.
These updated versions will replace the older USB-A and USB-C keys, offering NFC capabilities for swift connections with mobile devices. They’re capable of storing over 250 passkeys and are available for purchase through the Google Store.

Excitingly, Google intends to distribute 100,000 Titan Security Keys for free throughout 2024 to those considered high-risk individuals globally. To ensure security, users can set up a PIN code in conjunction with a passkey for their Google Account login, instead of relying on passwords.
The Titan Security Keys are built with a dedicated hardware chip and firmware, ensuring key integrity and protecting against physical tampering. Moreover, they’re durable, waterproof, dustproof, and don’t need batteries or moving parts, making them ideal for long-term usage.
