Google has confirmed that Android’s Quick Share feature, which works with Apple’s AirDrop, will soon be available on more Android devices, not just the Pixel 10 series.
The company is working with Android partners. Which could be Nothing Phone, potentially Samsung, and others, to expand this feature across the wider Android ecosystem later this year.
The AirDrop compatibility was first introduced last year and initially launched only on the Pixel 10 series.

Now, with the upcoming update, AirDrop-sharing capability is part of Quick Share itself, making it easier to roll out to other Android phones.
According to Google’s VP of Engineering for Android, Eric Kay, expect more announcements about this upgrade coming soon. So stay tuned!
