Google has announced a major update to Gemini 3, adding new app-building tools in Google AI Studio that allow users to create applications using plain English instead of code.
With the update, users can describe what they want an app to do, and Gemini handles the programming, interface design, and basic logic. No prior coding experience is required.
The system also supports multimedia features, allowing apps to process images, audio, and video through prompts.

Apps created in Google AI Studio can be deployed directly to Google Cloud with a single click, removing the need for manual setup or configuration.
According to Google, the goal of the update is to lower the technical barrier to software development and make app creation more accessible to students, educators, small teams, and individuals with non-technical backgrounds.
Logan Kilpatrick, Group Product Manager at Google DeepMind, said the focus is shifting from writing code line by line to guiding and refining ideas, with creativity and problem-solving becoming more important skills.

The updated Gemini 3 experience is now available in Google AI Studio.
