Globe Telecom Inc. said on Monday that prepaid eSIMs will be available by the end of this quarter to improve the mobile experience of its users.
Globe will launch an improved version of the eSIM for the convenience that the eSIM can give to customers. It will also change the way Globe works because it’s more affordable.
Globe said that when the eSIM comes out for prepaid users, they will be able to set up multiple IDs with different phone numbers on a single device. This option will make it easy for them to switch between lines, whether it’s after work, when they’re traveling, or for any other reason that fits their lives.
Users will also be able to connect more than one device to a single cell number. Users don’t have to worry about leaving their main phones at home anymore.
Globe will be less reliant on physical SIM cards made of plastic thanks to the eSIM project. This will reduce the need for raw materials, the amount of waste made, and the amount of time and money spent on logistics.
