C5 Link Segment 2

The construction of the C5 Link Segment 2 is set to begin soon, according to a news release by the Manila Toll Expressway Systems, Inc. (MATES). This infrastructure project aims to connect Cavitex in Cavite to the North Luzon Expressway (NLEX) in Balintawak, Quezon City, providing an alternative route that bypasses the congested Metro Manila area.

Phase 1 of the C5 Link Expressway, which covers the Cavitex to C5 section, was completed in 2019. Phase 2, which covers the C5 to NLEX section, will be completed by 2022.

The C5 Link Segment 2 will consist of a 5.65-kilometer, four-lane expressway with two interchanges in Taguig and Pasig. This segment will also feature a two-kilometer elevated toll road passing through the Pasig River, providing an alternative route to the heavily congested EDSA.

C5 Link Segment 2Aside from reducing travel time and easing traffic congestion, the C5 Link Segment 2 is also expected to spur economic growth in the areas it will pass through. This project will provide new employment opportunities, boost tourism, and attract regional investments.

The construction of the C5 Link Segment 2 is a testament to the government’s commitment to investing in infrastructure and improving the country’s transportation network. It is a crucial step towards achieving the goal of a more interconnected and prosperous Philippines.

In conclusion, the C5 Link Segment 2 is a highly anticipated project that will significantly benefit commuters and motorists in the Philippines. With improved connectivity and faster travel times, this infrastructure project will contribute to the economic growth and development of the region while also providing a more convenient and efficient transportation option for the people.
