We are back with another smartphone review, and it’s the latest CMF Phone 2 Pro. Like every other Nothing Phone, this device has a stylish and distinctive look.
But aside from its looks, what else does this phone offer? Is it worth its price? Let’s find out!
As I mentioned earlier, the CMF Phone 2 Pro comes with a distinctive look that makes it an eye-catching device. Despite its asymmetric design, you can tell that it is well thought out.
The color variant of this unit is orange, and it features a two-tone design that has a rough texture at the top and a matte-like finish at the bottom. There are noticeable small circular screw areas that you can remove to attach some accessories.
In terms of feel, the device feels solid and sturdy despite the plastic material. It weighs in at 185g, and it only comes with an IP54 dust and water resistance, but you can tell that it is quite durable.
The whole device features an impressive grip because of its matte, rough texture applied to its frame.
Speaking of its frame, around the device, you will find the volume rockers on the left side, the secondary microphone on top, the power and essential button on the right side, while the USB-C port, speaker grille, and SIM tray are at the bottom.
Design-wise, despite it only having an IP54 rating, the amount of personalization its whole design offers makes it unique.
My only issue is that I had to get used to which of the two buttons on the right side is the power. With that said, I have nothing against its whole design. It is clean and simple.
Flipping over the device, the CMF Phone 2 Pro boasts a 6.77″ FHD+ AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080×2392, paired with a 120Hz refresh rate.
Binge-watching your favorite shows on this device is great, thanks to its sharp and vibrant display.
Although its bezels are a bit thick, they never bother our whole viewing experience. Additionally, we didn’t have any problems watching HDR videos on this device since it offers HDR10+ support.
Using it outdoors is also not a problem, even in direct sunlight, thanks to its peak brightness of 3000 nits. All of that is protected by Panda Glass.
As for its camera department, the CMF Phone 2 Pro boasts a triple camera setup with a 50MP main camera, a 50MP telephoto, and an 8MP ultrawide. The cutout on its front houses a 16MP selfie camera.
The quality of its rear cameras is decent but not that impressive. It comes with a wide dynamic range with good colors; however, it lacks detail and a bit of sharpness. Although the qualities are acceptable, if you love taking photos, you will notice the difference.
When it comes to low-light photography, it delivers decent colors with ample amounts of detail. However, light sources output flares, and at the same time, there is a bit of softness and noise around the image.
As for its selfie cameras, it captures images that have a true-to-life skin tone. Colors are also good with a good level of detail and sharpness.
For its video recording, the rear camera can shoot up to 4K@30FPS with no stabilization feature, while its selfie shooter can only shoot up to 1080P@60FPS.
With the cameras out of the way, let’s talk about its power. Under the hood, the CMF Phone 2 Pro is powered by a 4nm MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Pro.
It comes with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. Its RAM is expandable up to 8GB via RAM Booster. It runs on Android 15, slapped with Nothing OS 3.2.
As usual, the design of its home screen offers a simplistic theme. Navigating the phone is smooth, thanks to its fast refresh rate and smooth animations.
It can also handle multitasking with ease, with little to no signs of slowing down, even if we are handling multiple applications.
We also tried gaming and tested out Genshin Impact. It delivered decent performance with little to no problems at all.
It was smooth and responsive, and surprisingly, the device didn’t heat up that much. For better understanding, here are some of its benchmark results.

Now, for its battery. The CMF Phone 2 Pro is backed by a 5000mAh battery capacity that is paired with 33W of wired charging. During our video loop test, it lasted us about 13 hours and 45 minutes.
As for its charging, it doesn’t come with a power brick, so we tested it with our 33W brick, and from 0 to 100%, it took us about 1 hour and 23 minutes.
Finally, the price. The CMF Phone 2 Pro is priced at PHP18,490 for the 8GB + 256GB configuration. You can also get a 128GB variant that is priced at PHP16,490. Overall, the CMF Phone 2 Pro is a solid device for its price. It comes with a unique and standout design that is also packed with features.
Although other devices perform better in the camera department, the CMF Phone 2 Pro manages to deliver.
Would I recommend it? If you want your phone to stand out, then yes. The simplistic design of the CMF Phone 2 Pro makes it a solid choice for those who want a new look for their smartphone.
