After its launch in China, Xiaomi has now officially announced the global availability of the Xiaomi 17 Series.
Unlike the China launch, the brand is expected to launch only the Xiaomi 17 base model and the premium Xiaomi 17 Ultra.
Also, the official webpage for the Xiaomi 17 global launch focuses on the camera with a big statement, “The New Wave of Imagery,” perhaps hinting that these devices will focus on camera capabilities.
For reference, the Xiaomi 17 that was launched in China offers a 6.3-inch OLED screen with a triple 50MP rear camera setup and a 50MP selfie shooter. The base variant is also powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset with a 7000mAh battery.
The Ultra, on the other hand, comes with a bigger 6.9-inch OLED screen, the same chipset, dual 50MP camera, 200MP telephoto, and 50MP front camera. The battery is smaller compared to the base variant at 6,800mAh.
Despite the launch date being revealed, specifications for the global variants are still under wraps.
The Xiaomi 17 series global launch will take place on February 28, 2026, in Barcelona, Spain at 9PM (GMT+8, PHT) via Livestream.
